RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Mary McNiff, of Ridgewood, died Aug. 22. She was 85.
She was born May 30, 1931, in County Mayo, Ireland and was active member in the Bergen Irish Association and HILT.
She was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church in Ridgewood as the treasurer of the Rosary Society, a member of the Adoration Chapel Group and coordinated and participated in creating 2,460 embroidered Baptismal Bibs in 16 years.
She was the mother of John and his wife JoAnne of North Carolina, Patrick and his wife Joceil of Washington state, Bernadette Townsend and her husband William of Pittstown and Christopher and his wife Mary of Chatham.
The family will receive friends and family from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Ave, Ridgewood. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 1 Passaic St., Ridgewood, followed by internment at St. Luke’s Cemetery in Ho-Ho-Kus.
