Suzanne Bardzell, 48, was stabbed to death by an ex-boyfriend in her car in the driveway of her Godwin Avenue home, authorities said. Her accused killer, Arthur Lomando, 44, is in police custody, following a suicide attempt in a New York City subway after the killing.

Barzdell, a special education teacher in Teaneck, leaves behind two teenage sons.

"We will be sensitive to the hurt of the family and loved ones involved and respect their need for time to grieve," Rev. Lloyd Vorterstrasse told Daily Voice. "We feel there is a need to pray for peace, comfort, safety and the well-being of our community at this time."

The prayer vigil will be held on Sunday, Oct. 24 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the pavilion at Wortendyke Park on Englishman Drive. Parking is available at the commuter lot on Streelman Way.
