Gannett will cut more than 400 jobs from recently-acquired North Jersey Media Group by the end of the week due to a new digital restructuring plan announced Wednesday, NorthJersey.com reports.
Approximately half of the staffers, however, will be assigned new roles in the company to better serve digital readers and advertisers, the story says.
The new plan will consolidate the company's content divisions to make it among the largest newsrooms in the region, NorthJersey.com reports.
