RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- The village will celebrate physical diversity this weekend in “Access Ridgewood,” a series of events encouraging open access for all.
This is the seventh year Ridgewood has promoted disability awareness to encourage an open and welcoming community for people with physical needs. Programs highlight abilities and disabilities, special gifts and special needs. The entire village participates in a series of free events, open to all.
Friday opens with a senior program in the community center at 10 a.m. and closes with a teen dance at 7:30 pm. Saturday features an ambitious schedule opening at 10:30 a.m. with a family concert in the library auditorium, and continuing with events throughout the day. The program concludes Sunday with an interfaith service in the Friends to Friends Community Church from 7 - 8 p.m.
