RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — A Ridgewood spin instructor from One Love Bike and Barre on North Maple Avenue is rallying fellow bikers to help raise money for her Cycle for Survival team.
On Feb. 21, Jenny Nunn will spin at Equinox in Paramus for the niece and nephew of a friend she met in Kindergarten who are battling a rare blood disease — currently patients at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Until then, Nunn — who joined Team Ellie Bean in 2011 — is offering $5 drop-in classes to help raise money for rare-cancer research at MSKCC.
"Everyone rallies together in Ridgewood," Nunn said. "Anytime you do these kind of things people always step up."
The $5 class times are:
- Saturday, Feb. 6 at 3 p.m.
- Thursday, Feb. 11 at 9:30 a.m.
- Friday, Feb. 12 at 4:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Feb 13. at noon
- Thursday, Feb. 18 at 7:45 p.m.
- Friday, Feb. 19 4:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m.
Anyone who attends a class will get a raffle ticket.
Nunn is encouraging new "spinners" to try the classes: "The more the merrier," she said.
