Celebrity Makeup Artist Brings Business To Ridgewood

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — A makeup artist that's worked on pop stars and local brides is relocating her business to Ridgewood.

Melissa Coda-Martinez, 37 of Teaneck, recently closed shop in Paramus and opening House of Glam studio on Chestnut Street this spring.

"Paramus was so good to us but we wanted to expand into a neighborhood with more foot traffic," said Coda-Martinez, formerly of Hackensack.

House of Glam received a 5-star rating on "The Knot" and offers professional hair, makeup and fashion services.

Coda-Martinez has worked on celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Lady Gaga and Janice Dickinson.

The mom has also done work with Fashion Week models, and for reality television shows such as "Real Housewives of New Jersey" and "My Big Fat Fabulous Wedding."

Coda-Martinez has a staff of trained makeup artists, and she runs a makeup academy in River Edge.
