Two people were seriously hurt in a five-car crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Hudson County on Friday, Dec. 9, authorities said. 65 Cars Involved In Icy Crashes On Major NJ Roadway
At least 65 vehicles were involved in a series of crashes on a major ice-covered road in Central Jersey, authorities said. The crashes were blamed on black ice which often forms at dawn and dusk, according to the Monmouth County sheriff. A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Toyota Friday afternoon while walking on the Garden State Parkway in Ocean County, authorities said. Another Route 80 Delay: Overturned Tractor Trailer Shuts Eastbound Highway In Roxbury
Route 80 was backed up Friday morning after a tractor trailer overturned spilling fuel across the highway. All lanes were closed near Exit 34 - NJ 15 as of 10:30 a.m., according to 511nj.org.
