The accident happened on Oak Ridge Road at Route 23, according to the West Milford Fire Marshal’s Office, which responded to the scene along with the West Milford Fire Department.
The truck driver sustained minor injuries, officials said.
Emergency crews worked to contain a small amount of septic waste, as well as oil and other vehicle fluids that spilled during the crash. The truck was later offloaded and uprighted, officials said.
Responding agencies included West Milford Fire Companies 1, 2, and 4, the West Milford Police Department, West Milford OEM, West Milford First Aid Squad, Atlantic EMS, Passaic County Sheriff’s Haz-Mat, the Passaic County Health Department, New Jersey State Police, New Jersey DOT Incident Management, and North Jersey Canteen.
Crews remained on scene for several hours.
