Details Released In Deadly Dump Truck Crash In North Jersey Town Authorities have released details in a dump truck crash on Route 31 in Clinton Township that left one person dead on Tuesday, June 18. A 66-year-old man was operating a dump truck that collided with a Toyota sedan driven by a 64-year-old woman around 2:20 p.m. in front of Riley and Jake's Restaurant, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office said. Both vehicles were heading north. The Toyota then entered the southbound lane and collided with a Volkswagen, operated by a 17-year-old girl. Major Mess: Multi-Vehicle Dump Truck Crash Jams Route 17 (Photos) UPDATE (PHOTOS): Four victims were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash involving a dump truck that spilled gravel, debris and fluid all over snowy southbound Route 17. The toppled truck also took out a chunk of the highway divider during the crash on the southbound side just south of Ridgewood Avenue in Paramus around 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 9. At least three seriously-damaged smaller vehicles had to be towed while police and firefighters awaited heavy-duty wreckers to right the toppled truck.
