The crash took place around 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 1 on Great Neck Road in Copiague, the Suffolk County Police said.

According to police, the Chevrolet SUV being driven by an adult male rear-ended the vehicle in front of it, which caused a chain reaction with two other vehicles being rear-ended.

The Chevrolet veered off the road, coming to a stop on a residential property, and became fully engulfed in flames, police said.

Multiple fire departments and ambulance companies responded to the scene.
