Between 40 to 60 students and others were taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Suffern and Nyack Hospital, New York State Police said.

One of the buses rear-ended the other on the Exit 11 ramp around 2:30 p.m., they said.

The students were returning from a sophomore class day trip to Woodmont Day Camp in New City in Clarkstown.

An investigation of the crash is ongoing, state police said.
