Rutherford Mayor Announces Family Wellness Campaign Bike Rides

RUTHERFORD, N.J.– Two family bike rides organized by the Rutherford Mayor's Wellness Campaign and the borough's green team are scheduled for later this month and next. 

The family bike rides are scheduled for Sept. 19 and Oct. 3.

The first ride is set to take place at 6 p.m. at Sept. 19.

Riders are asked to meet at the Meadowlands Museum, located at 91 Crane Ave. 

The rain date is scheduled for the next day. 

"This destination ride will use the bike lanes along Orient Way, include Wall Field and finish with a special tour of the William Carlos Williams display at the Meadowlands Museum," organizers said. 

The second ride is slated for 6 p.m. on Oct. 3. 

Organizers are reminding participants to wear helmets.
