RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J.– The Hackensack Riverkeeper will be providing boat rides on the Hackensack River as part of Ridgefield Park's Earth Day celebration Saturday.
The event, which runs from 10 a.m- 3 p.m.., will take place at Riverside Park behind the Department of Public Works building.
In addition, there will be live animals, games, music by Mark Rust , face painting and fishing.
Here's a schedule of events:
- 10:30 a.m. Mad Science - Interactive Show (45 min.)
- 11:30 a.m. Wallaby Tales - Eyes of the Wild - Live Animal Show
- 1:30 p.m. Tenafly Nature Center - Rapp’n with Raptors Show
- 2:30 p.m. Snakes-n-Scales - Live Presentation of River/Ocean Animals
The class with the most participants at each show will win an ice cream party.
Prior to that, residents can meet at either McGowan Park (7 a.m.) or the Overpeck Park Amphitheater (8:30 a.m.) for a bird count.
