Bergen County Pet Rescue Sets Ridgewood Adoption Event

CLIFFSIDE PARK, N,J. -- The Bergen County Protect and Rescue Foundation of Cliffside Park will be holding several pet adoption events throughout Bergen County on Sunday, Oct. 2, helping find forever homes for its cats and dogs.

Anyone searching for a new furry family member or looking to donate can attend one of three upcoming events:

In addition, the organization will be holding a Donation Drive on Saturday, October 1, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 302 Second St. in Cliffside Park. There will be refreshments and face painters.

The group is in dire need of food for the shelter. Approximately $100 a week is spent on dog and cat food for the rescues.

The rescue is seeking donations including washcloths, laundry detergent. bleach, 50-gallon garbage bags, Performance Dog Food (wet and dry), Fancy Feast or Friskies cat food (wet and dry), among other items.
