WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. -- A group of students from Washington Township's Immaculate Heart Academy got to experience a guided tour of the United Nations Headquarters in mid-April 12.

The students visited the newly renovated General Assembly Hall, the Security Council Chamber, the Trusteeship Council Chamber, and the Economic and Social Council Chamber.

They had the opportunity to learn about how the United Nations addresses a variety of issues, including disarmament, peace and security, human rights, and the Millennium Development Goals.
