MONTVALE, N.J. – An unemployed Montvale man was caught with 400 Oxycodone pills, crystal meth, mushrooms and other drugs for sale – including THC-infused gummy bears -- authorities said Friday.
Gary J. Nicolini, 53, was arrested after two-month investigation involving detectives and officers from several law enforcement agencies, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said.
A raid on his home turned up the drugs, which also included psilocybin mushrooms and “a large quantity of an unknown white powder that will be analyzed by the New Jersey State Police laboratory,” Grewal said.
Investigators also seized a digital scale and several baggies used to package drugs, along with $6,740.00 in suspected proceeds, the prosecutor said.
The estimated street value of the drugs combined is $20,000, he said.
Nicolini was released on a summons to appear July 19 in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on various drug charges.
Grewal credited his investigators, along with police from Montvale and Park Ridge and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation, raid and arrest.
