The local postmaster told police that a group of aggressive turkeys was keeping his mail carrier from his route on Esplanade Drive Tuesday afternoon, Hillsdale police said.

Two Hillsdale police officers responded to the scene and scared off the turkeys by walking toward them. The birds retreated to a nearby wooded area, police said.
