Born Paul Doyle Caiafa on Sept. 15, 1964, Doyle attended Lodi public schools in the class of 1982.
He got his start as a roadie for the Misfits before joining older brother Jerry Only on stage with the legendary Gothic punk band in 1980, when he was 16.
The 6-foot-3 metal guitarist, who turns 52 Thursday, has maintained his signature Devilock hair style through the years. His various projects have included Christian metal band Kryst The Conqueror and Gorgeous Frankenstein.
Caiafa is gearing up to return to the road at the end of the month with the eponymous Doyle for the second half of the Abominator Tour 2015. The fall leg kicks off on Sept. 25 at The Chance in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.After some dates in Western states, Doyle returns to New Jersey to play the Stanhope House on Oct. 15.
Caiafa is also a father to "sons of Frankenstein," Isaac, Pauly, and Louis, and daughter Boriss von Frankenstein.
