RIVER VALE, N.J. – Spectrum for Living recently received a donation in the amount of $6,071 thanks to the Knights of Columbus St. Thomas More Council #2188.
The donation was raised through its annual Canning Campaign, during which time the members blanket the streets of Westwood and solicit motorists and passersby for support of individuals with developmental disabilities. Money raised from the campaign directly improves the quality of life Spectrum provides for adults with developmental disabilities.
Knights of Columbus St. Thomas More Council member Mike Carpenter is a Spectrum for Living board member and Spectrum for Living parent.
The Knights of Columbus St. Thomas More Council #2188 has been supporters of Spectrum for Living for more than 30 years. In addition to the Canning Campaign, each fall it helps organize the Spectrum for Living Walk, which will be Saturday, Oct. 15 at Overpeck Park in Ridgefield Park.
