EMERSON, N.J. – Congregation B'nai Israel (CBI) Sisterhood in Emerson is holding a dinner for the women and children at The Center for Hope and Safety (formerly Shelter Our Sisters) on Sunday, Feb. 21, at 10 a.m. in the CBI kitchen.
Organizers are seeking volunteers to prepare an appetizer or dessert at home and drop it off at the temple Feb. 21 between Hebrew school hours. Monetary donations will also be accepted, payable to CBI Sisterhood. Mail checks to Joan Zelman, 961 Amaryllis Ave., Oradell NJ 07649.
Volunteers can also help shop prior to the dinner with a list provided by organizers, or help in the kitchen the day of.
