WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. -- Valley Chabad, in Woodcliff Lake, held its annual Chanukah gift wrap at Hebrew School earlier this month, enlisting students' help in giving to others.
The Jewish Family Service of Bergen County paired students with children in need, each of whom had requested a certain gift they wanted for their holiday present. The Hebrew School students then purchased those gifts and wrapped them on Dec. 11, assisted by parents and volunteers.
The gift project, now in its fifth year, is led by Hebrew School parent volunteer Tara Merson, of Woodcliff Lake. This year, the students, parents and volunteers wrapped more than 75 individualized gifts and wrote cards to the recipients.
