Students In Westwood Raise Awareness For NJ's Minimum Drinking Age

WESTWOOD, N.J. -- Westwood Regional Jr./Sr. High School students participated in Sticker Shock, a program that raises public awareness of New Jersey’s minimum drinking age.

The students worked in collaboration with Principal Frank Connelly and the Township of Washington Police Department in visiting a local store that sells alcohol and placing stickers and bottle hangers on alcohol products that appeal to underage drinkers.

The project’s goal is to discourage adults, older peers, and siblings from providing alcohol to minors. 

Lt. Rich Skinner said he was happy to see everyone working together to promote this much needed program at the start of the Holiday Season.
