ORADELL, N.J. -- Oradell firefighters recently received 29 self-contained breathing apparatuses acquired through FEMA’s Assistance to Firefighters federal grant program.
The Oradell Fire Department received a set of new self-contained breathing apparatuses after successfully applying for a federal grant.

Photo Credit: Facebook/Oradell FDThe grant, which was supplemented with capital funding, enabled the fire department to purchase 29 of the devices at a cost of approximately $5,000 apiece.
The new equipment, which helps firefighters breathe and operate under hazardous conditions, will replace existing units that are over 20 years old.
