Paramus Nonprofit Receives $5,000 Grant From BJ’s Charitable Foundation

PARAMUS, N.J. -- Children’s Aid and Family Services in Paramus received a $5,000 grant from BJ’s Charitable Foundation to buy nutritional formula for babies and toddlers of low-income families served by its Baby Basics program.

The program provides 17,000 diapers, free nutritional formula and other services to needy families.

“The BJ’s Charitable Foundation is dedicated to supporting nonprofits, like Children’s Aid and Family Services, that focus on providing nutritious options for disadvantaged families,” said Frank Griscavage, general manager of the BJ’s Wholesale Club in Paramus.

As part of its quarterly grant cycle, BJ’s Charitable Foundation distributed donations totaling nearly $250,000 among 70 nonprofits, including Children’s Aid and Family Services, to help improve the lives of more than two million people in need across its 15-state footprint.

“We’re grateful for the generous contributions from BJ’s,” said Jerry Binney, president & CEO of Children’s Aid and Family Services. “These grants make an enormous difference in our ability to help children and families in our community.”

The Baby Basics Program serves low-income families with children up through age 2 by providing free nutritional formula and diapers. A range of other services are available, including counseling, parent education, a safety-net support system and a wide referral base.
