Central Jersey native and medical worker Kristina Iacono died Jan. 23 at the age of 30.
Born in Willingboro, Iacono graduated from Delran High School before attending Lincoln Technical Institute, where she finished as a medical assistant, her obituary says.
Iacono later attended the Omega Institute and graduated as a surgical technician. She held medical positions at Kennedy Health and Virtua Hospital and lived in Lakewood at the time of her death, according to her memorial.
Iacono is survived by her parents, Giuseppe and Serafina Iacono; her brother, Joseph Charles Iacono; paternal grandmother, Nancy Iacono; her Aunt Serafina Carollo and Uncle Michele Iacono; as well as many cousins, other extended family members and close friends.
“You were truly one of a kind,” a friend wrote about Iacono in a Facebook post. “Always spoke your mind. Incredibly generous. Never backed down from anyone or anything. Loyal to a fault. Full of so much energy, life and laughter. And always 100% authentically YOU- take it, love it, or leave it.”
Iacono’s memorial gathering will be held at a later time.
