The restaurant and bar opened in 2015 in an East Union Street building that once was a firehouse.

"Over the last couple of months, we’ve received so many messages about Brickwall Burlington, wondering when we’d be starting up outdoor dining," the restaurant and bar wrote on Facebook.

"So it breaks our heart to share with you that Brickwall Burlington won’t be reopening.

"And even though we’re saying goodbye, we’ll never stop 'burlieving.' See you on down the road."

The post had garnered nearly 300 comments as of Wednesday.

"We will miss you all greatly and all the awesome things you did for the city," one Facebook user wrote. "I hope that the location is bought by someone who can bring just as much love and energy to the city as you all did."

"I shared many great nights with friends there and your staff was always kind, efficient, and inviting," another said. "You were always helpful with charities, my sister and I went one day when you were hosting a dog rescue and she adopted one of the pups there that day. My fur nephew Sully is only in the family because of you."
