NORTH PASSAIC, N.J. -- New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie vetoed $80 million for open-space and farmland preservation simply through inaction, the NJ Spotlight reported.
Christie did not explain why he let this and dozens of other bills die, and Christie spokesman Joelle Farrell didn't offer a specific rationale for the veto either, NJ Spotlight reported.
The Senate had passed the bill unanimously and the Assembly passed it with bipartisan support, NJ Spotlight reported.
