Stolen PBA card leads to trove of gizmos swiped from college

If you’re going to flash a PBA card, it better be yours. A Hudson County driver stopped for speeding on Route 17 tried that with a Ramsey officer and was arrested — along with four of his pals — after police found an array of stolen items in the car, Chief Bryan Gurney said.

Amjad Marshal told Officer Michael Parise that he “found” the PBA card in a wallet at Ramapo College. Parise then got Marshal’s permission to search the car, where the booty was stashed, Gurney said.

The items included nearly a dozen GPS units, a radar detector, an iPod, wireless headphones and a variety of electronics accessories, all taken from cars parked at the college, the chief said.

Gurney said the crew, all from Hudson County, used a metal pipe to break the car windows. During the spree, he said, they found the West Milford Police PBA card, along with the various electronic items.
