UPDATE: Two men in ski masks, one of them waving a rifle, robbed the Bank of America branch on Main Street (Hamburg Turnpike) in Bloomingdale this afternoon, dropping some cash on the way out, CLIFFVIEW PILOT has learned.
Details are sketchy, but an investigator with direct knowledge of the holdup said it occurred around 2:40 and involved two men, one of whom threatened to use the gun.
No one was hurt, the investigator said.
It’s too early to speculate on connections — investigators are still piecing together descriptions and reviewing surveillance video — but there have been several brazen holdups in North Jersey over the past week.
In one, the robber all but smiled for the camera as he came in waving a pistol and announcing the holdup.
