Salvatore Palmieri, 80, Wanaque Resident

WANAQUE, N.J. — Wanaque resident Salvatore Palmieri died Saturday, April, 30. He was 80. 

Palmieri was a plant manager at Coats & Clark Inc., in Fair Lawn before retiring. 

He also was employed at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Wyckoff and at Seiko Watch Company in Mount Olive. 

While residing in Ringwood, he was active in the Little League, where he was coach and the program manager. 

Palmieri is survived by wife Carol and their five children; Salvatore Palmieri and his wife Tina, Dena Ratz and her husband Steven, Danny Palmieri and his wife Leni, Greg Palmieri and Ali, Robyn Tilton and her husband Jim. He also is survived by grandchildren Jimmy, Sal, Geanna, Shayne, Daniela, Kelsea, Hunter, Taylor, Dylan, Justin, Austin and Cecelia. 

He was predeceased by his brother Angelo Palmieri. 

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. 

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff. 

Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
