Mary O. Rozgonyi, 90, Fairfield Resident

FAIRFIELD, N.J. – Mary O. (Paraola) Rozgonyi, a longtime resident of Fairfield, died Friday, April 15. She was 90.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed baking cookies. She worked for Hoffman LaRoche as a bookkeeper before retiring to become a full-time mom. She was a Eucharistic minister at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Chilton Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a member of the Fairfield Golden Age Club.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. A funeral will take place at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will take place at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.

She was the wife of the late Andrew Rozgonyi; mother of Joanne and her husband, Glenn Nahass, Kathleen and her husband, the late James Kenyon, Steven Rozgonyi, and Glenn and his wife, Elisabeth Rozgonyi; sister of the late Julia Anania; grandmother of Stephanie and her husband, Michael, Sage, Nicole and her husband, Mark, Michelle, Brian, Steven Michael, John and Jessica; great-grandmother of Olivia Faith, Ryleigh Quinn and Samantha Michelle; and partner of 15 years to Martin Lachet.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the American Cancer Society, 20 Mercer St., Hackensack, NJ 07601.
