WEST MILFORD, N.J. -- Nobody managed to strike it rich with the Powerball jackpot on Saturday, but 29 people in the Garden State managed to win $50,000, including one person from West Milford.
The "winning" ticket, which matched four white balls and the Powerball, was sold at the Shop Rite on Marshall Hill Road.
With no winner, the jackpot has soared to $1.4 billion, with an estimated cash value of $868 million, the largest purse in lottery history.
The next drawing will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 11 p.m.
