SHOOTING: A 38-year-old Ringwood man killed his ex-girlfriend with a shotgun blast through a glass door late Wednesday, authorities said.

OD MISSION: On Christmas day in 2011, Rebecca Conroy’s best friend died of a heroin overdose. She's choosing to do something about it.

BUSTED: The rumors finally ceased Tuesday when state authorities charged Paterson Mayor Jose “Joey” Torres and three city DPW supervisors with having employees work at a private warehouse leased by the mayor’s daughter and nephew while collecting taxpayer money.

GENTLE GIANT DIES: Bruce Gallagher, of Wanaque, died on Friday, March 3. He was 70.
