WANAQUE, N.J. -- Borough officials will have to spend more than $230,000 to replace low retaining walls along Ringwood Ave., according to NorthJersey.com.
The walls have been deteriorating due to road salt getting mixed in with snow over the previous winters. The walls will be replaced with a salt-resistant material. Officials hope to offset some of the cost by seeking reimbursement from the contractor who installed the walls in 2005, NorthJersey.com reported.
