POMPTON LAKES, N.J. -- Pompton Lakes Volunteer Fire Department officially welcomed Reinaldo Solis, Jr. to its ranks on Wednesday night, Oct. 28, when he was sworn in.

Solis joins firefighters who have protected Pompton Lakes and its surrounding areas for 114 years.

The department was formed in 1895.
