The home will be totally rebuilt with donations, city funds reserved for affordable housing, and volunteer labor and when completed, given to a low-income family, reported NorthJersey.com.
This is the first partnership between the two group, added NorthJersey.com.
The 0.23-acre house site, was donated to MHH by Wells Fargo Bank; the bank is also donating $10,000 toward the project, said NorthJersey.com.
West Milford Township officials, concerned of having their affordable housing trust fund seized by the state, joined forces with MHH in 2012. The city will contribute $50,639 of reserved permit fees earmarked for affordable housing needs to the project, reported NorthJersey.com.
