PASSAIC COUNTY, N.J. -- Auctions began on Thursday to sell off several A&P grocery stores, according to Super Market News.
More than 100 bidders submitted 300 offers to buy up the stores that are being sold off by the now bankrupt Montvale-based grocery chain, Super Market News reported.
Thursday's auction included stores in the five boroughs, Westchester County, N.Y., and Northern New Jersey. The auction is continuing on Friday with stores from Long Island, Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey, Super Market News said.
