Woman Raises Funds For Wanaque Animal Control Officer

WANAQUE, N.J. -- Samantha Palino, of Lodi, created an ongoing fundraiser to benefit friend and animal control officer, Lysa DeLaurentis, of the township.

DeLaurentis, also the founder of All Humane Animal Control Rescue, is the animal control officer in Garfield, Prospect Park and Totowa.

She takes in all animals she can't find homes for and covers all of their expenses alone.

The goal is to raise $500 in the first fundraiser, and $290 has been raised so far.
