BLOOMINGDALE, N.J. -- Passaic County is full of watering holes that would please even the nerdiest of beer experts. But only one -- The River of Beer -- won the overwhelming majority, making it the "DVlicious Best Craft Beer Bar" in the area.
The Bloomingdale bar, which captured 54 percent of the vote, boasts a constantly rotating tap featuring a line-up of New Jersey-sourced brews such as Elysian Hubris Huge IPA out of Little Ferry, Carton Boat Beer, made in Atlantic Highlands, and Keegan Ales Mother’s Milk, a sweet stout brewed in Kingston, N.Y. The River also sells small-batch whiskies, bourbons, hard ciders and domestic beers.

The restaurant, at 133 Main St., will receive a framed DVlicious certificate as well as the pride in knowing it has "raised the bar" in Passaic County.
