WEST MILFORD, N.J.- The West Milford Elks Lodge 2236 is fighting drug and alcohol abuse with a "Walk Out On Drugs" event on May 1.
"We encourage all members of the community to support this effort and join us in the fight against drugs," the West Milford Police Department said in a Facebook post. "We also are asking the community to lend support and encouragement to those who are dealing with their addictions head on."
The walk will start at the West Milford Recreation Center (formerly the P.A.L.) at 66 Cahill Cross Road.
Registration begins at 10 a.m., with the walk to start an hour later.
There is a $5 suggestion donation per walker.
