Both the Child’s Life tour and Grounds and Garden tour are being offered for the final time this season.
The Child’s Life tours “are a great way to introduce young visitors to the site’s history and historic figures,” according to the Manor’s Facebook page. The tour focuses on what a child’s life would be like during the 19th century. Children will be encouraged to participate in a scavenger hunt and play with 19th century toys.
The Child Life tours will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, and Sunday, Oct. 30. The cost is $3 for adults, $1 for children ages 6-12, children 5 and under free.
The Grounds and Garden tour is a 2 ½ hour guided walking tour around the Manor property. The tour teaches people about the historic objects, planned gardens, out-buildings and cemetery on the estate. The free tour takes place on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. Steady rain would cancel the tour. To confirm the tour, call 973-962-2240.
