Pompton Lakes Seeks Volunteers For Pompton Day Festivities

POMPTON LAKES, N.J. -- Upward of 15,000 people attend Pompton Lakes' annual Pompton Day, so expect a crowd for the upcoming festivities on Sunday, Sept. 4.

Volunteers are needed for DJs and bands, a kids fishing derby (7 a.m. to 10 p.m.) and for a 5K run/walk (starts at 9 a.m.).

Vendors and crafters are needed. There are forms at the Teen Center, Borough Hall lobby or the borough website here.

Tickets for the duck raffle are for sale for $5 to win a $500, $300 or $200 Visa gift card.

The winning tickets will be picked at 8:30 p.m., followed by fireworks at Veterans Park Lakeside bridge.

The festivities run from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Lakeside Avenue, Pompton Lakes. The rain date is Monday, Sept. 5.
