POMPTON LAKES, N.J. -- The Pompton Lakes Library wants to remind everyone it is time to register for the February Read to a Dog session. The next session will be from 4-5 p.m. Monday.

Children ages 5-10 may sign up for a 10- to 15-minute time slot to read to a certified therapy dog. There are eight time slots available.

Valor and Polly are certified therapy dogs that will be with their handlers during this event.

The purpose of this event is to help children practice their reading skills and help build their confidence without the fear of judgment or criticism.
