R.U.F.F. stands for "Reading Uniquely for Fundamentals." Children can read to a therapy dog and gain confidence and reading fluency, in a relaxed setting. "This program is perfect for children who are reading or beginning to read on their own," the library notes.

Children must be in kindergarten or above. Each child gets 15 minutes with Rocky. Call the Children's Services desk at 973-728-2823 or email Miss Theresa at mcarthur@wmtl.org to register.

The West Milford Township Library is located at 1490 Union Valley Rd. To keep up with library events, visit its website or follow it on Facebook.
