Bloomingdale Library Celebrates 90th Anniversary With Dinner Dance

BLOOMINGDALE, N.J. -- Come help the Bloomingdale Free Public Library celebrate its 90th anniversary and the formation of the Bloomingdale Foundation for Literacy, with a dinner dance on Saturday, May 14, and a celebration in the library on Saturday, May 21.

The Bloomingdale library has encouraged reading for 90 years now -- and the efforts now include the "Paws to Read" program, featuring Thatcher. Come celebrate in May, with two events.

The dinner dance will run from 6-11 p.m., at the Glen Wild Lake Clubhouse. The cost is $65 per person.

The library celebration, a week later, will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will feature caricature artist Christine throughout the event, Jay Jay the Bubble Guy at 11 a.m., music by Arnold and Jimmy, and light and refreshments.

The library is located at 101 Hamburg Turnpike. Its hours are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and closed Sunday.
