Capitol Riot Suspects Arrested For Assault On Officer Brian Sicknick Grew Up In Central Jersey
A Pennsylvania and West Virginia man -- both natives of Central Jersey -- were arrested Sunday on criminal charges related to their alleged conspiring to injure Capitol Hill police officers, federal officials said.
During the Jan. 6 riot, they allegedly sprayed bear repellant into the faces of three officers, one of whom -- Brian D. Sicknick -- later died, authorities said. Sicknick 42, previously lived in South River, New Jersey.
Sicknick's exact cause of death has never been clarified.

Capitol Riots: PA Man Wanted On NJ Warrant Charged With Assaulting Female Officer
A Bucks County, PA man wanted for assault out of Burlington County, NJ was arrested on accusations he attacked police during the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, leaving one with a concussion, federal prosecutors said.
Ryan Stephen Samsel, 37, of Bristol has been charged with assaulting a federal officer, obstructing law enforcement, and obstructing a legal proceeding, according to federal court documents unsealed Monday.
Footage from the riots captured Samsel -- who traveled to Washington D.C from Bristol Borough -- apparently leading a group of rioters toward the Capitol, documents say.

NJ Commissioner Protested In D.C. But Left After Violence Broke Out, She Says
Hunterdon County Commissioner Susan Soloway admits she attended last week's protest in Washington D.C.
But never did she enter the U.S. Capitol building, she said.
Instead, she says she left due to safety concerns.
“Our group was shocked, outraged, and frankly scared, when it became apparent that a group of thugs were using the rally as a pretense to attack the U.S. Capitol,” said Soloway, according to the New Jersey Globe.
“As those actions unfolded, concerned for our own safety, we quickly left the area.”
