Mahwah P.O. Box Holders: Pick Up Your Keys For Township's New Post Office This Week
Current P.O. box holders can pick up their keys for the new Mahwah post office through this Saturday. The keys are available at the temporary location on 46 Industrial Drive, Postmaster Michael Watts said. They will also be available at the new location when it opens this coming Monday, June 15, at 1037 MacArthur Boulevard. Fostered Pit Bull Attacks Owners In Mahwah Park
A pit bull attacked the couple who fostered her, biting the woman’s hand and ear and causing “crushing injuries” to her husband’s arms and hands, during a walk in a Mahwah park, authorities said. The couple were walking the fostered female pit bull and a service dog Wednesday morning in Winters Park on East Ramapo Avenue when the pit bit the woman’s hand, causing a minor injury, Police Chief James N. Mahwah PD: Observant Officer Nabs Pennsylvania Driver With 500 LSD Hits
A Mahwah police officer who suspected no good found a Pennsylvania driver carrying 500 hits of LSD, authorities said. Officer John Rodriguez was on patrol late Monday when he spotted “several individuals acting in a suspicious manner in a municipal commuter lot” off East Ramapo Avenue, Police Chief James N. Batelli said Tuesday. They then got into separate vehicles and exited the lot in different directions, Batelli said.
