OLD TAPPAN, N.J.– Northern Valley/Old Tappan wrestlers Tyler Mullen and Jedh Downey finished their high school careers atop the podium at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

Mullen (160) is the first two-time medal winner in school history and Downey (285) recorded four pins – more than any other wrestler in the tournament – Golden Knights head coach Rob Ortiz said.

Joseph Jordan also qualified for the NJSIAA individual state tournament.

"They all showed a lot of resiliency by rebounding from close losses to wrestle well in the wrestle backs," Ortiz said. "It's hard to regroup emotionally when you realize that your goal of winning a state championship won't become reality. So I'm incredibly proud of all the boys."'
