OLD TAPPAN, N.J. -- Student musicians from six counties recently came together in Old Tappan for the North Jersey School Music Association's Junior Region Band concert.Bruce Sabatini, Principal at Northern Valley Regional High School at Old Tappan; Jonathan Harris, NVRHS District Supervisor of Related Arts; and Amy Wilcox, NVOT Band Director, hosted the March 6 event at Northern Valley Old Tappan.
Over 150 students in 7th-9th grades performed in two different bands, led by guest conductors Mark Donellan from Paramus High School and Jeffrey Conrad from Eisenhower Middle School in Roxbury.
These student performers were selected from the 500 students from seven counties who auditioned on Feb. 6. Among the selected participants were the five NV Old Tappan students.
