Haworth School Hires Social Worker For Kids With Special Needs

HAWORTH, N.J. -- Caitlin McAloon has joined the Bergen Center For Child Development as School Social Worker.

She will coordinate meetings and communication with school districts and parents in order to streamline student individualized education programs.

The center serves students with disabilities.

McAloon will also serve as a resource for parents and students, as well as lead weekly social skills groups for all the students.

“We are thrilled to have found Caitlin who is undoubtedly committed and qualified to help our students thrive," said Susan Raymond, M.Ed, School Principal.

McAloon has served as a social worker for the Riverdale Public Schools and at St. Clare’s Hospital in Boonton. She has volunteered on the Maternity Ward at St. Clare’s and is also interested in human rights and animal welfare.
